Mosteiros cistercienses, religiosidade e santidade (León, Espanha, séc. XII-XIII)

Abstract

Este artigo propõe uma análise da religiosidade e da santidade dos mosteiros cistercienses do antigo Reino de León (Espanha), desde a fundação a meados do século XIII, numa perspectiva que procura ir além das abordagens que se filiam à História da Religião e à História da Igreja. Pretende-se sublinhar a neces-sidade de interpretar a santidade na perspectiva da História Política, de for-ma a compreendê-la em conjunto. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT

This article offers an analysis of the religiosity and sanctity of the Cistercian monasteries of the Kingdom of León (Spain), from the foun-dation until the 13th century, in a different view from the usual approaches in History of Religions and History of the Church. The aim is to underline the importance of interpreting sanctity from the perspective of Political Histo-ry, in order to understand its symbiotic relation to the territorialization of the Christian aristoc-racy in that regionreligiosa in the eleventh and twelfth centuries.
