Proposição de uma estratégia para o desenvolvimento do tema transversal meio ambiente no contexto do ensino médio

Abstract

A presente dissertação tem por objetivo propor e avaliar uma estratégia pedagógica para o tratamento do tema transversal Meio ambiente no contexto do ensino médio, modificando o caráter da disciplina Projetos, ofertada desde 2001, em um colégio da rede particular de ensino de Brasília - DF. Para isso, a disciplina foi reestruturada nos anos de 2008 e 2009 com base em princípios da Educação Ambiental, da Escola Ativa, da Pedagogia de Projetos e do uso de jogos no ensino de ciências. A avaliação foi feita por meio de questionários, entrevistas e observações, verificando os conhecimentos sobre o tema Cerrado e as atitudes dos estudantes em relação a esse bioma e à própria disciplina. Os resultados indicam que a aquisição de conteúdos não foi diferente do observado quando a disciplina era ministrada com uso de aulas expositivas, no entanto a nova proposta possibilitou um aumento da afetividade em relação ao Cerrado, e partir delas veio a conscientização, a crítica e o interesse em participar de forma ativa para resolução de problemas ambientais. O trabalho também destaca o papel da reflexão e formação continuada do professor no estímulo a revisão de sua prática docente. _______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT

This thesis aims to propose and evaluate an educational strategy for the treatment of cross-cutting theme Environment in the context of high school, changing the character of the discipline projects, offered in 2001 in a private school in Brasília - DF. For this, the course was restructured in 2008 and 2009 based on principles of Environmental Education, of the Pedagogical Practice, of Pedagogy of Projects and of the use of games in teaching science. The evaluation was conducted through questionnaires, interviews and observations, checking the knowledge on the subject Cerrado and the attitudes of students in relation to that biome and the discipline itself. The results indicate that the acquisition of content was not different from that observed when the discipline was taught with the use of lectures, however, the new proposal allowed an increase in affection for the Cerrado, and from them came to consciousness, the criticism and interest in participating actively to solve environmental problems. The work also highlights the role of reflection and continuous education of the teacher in stimulating the revision of their teaching practice.
