Prevalência de doenças osteomusculares em cirurgiões dentistas da rede pública e privada de Porto Velho - Rondônia

Abstract

A pesquisa baseia-se no aspecto relacionado à complexidade dos sintomas apresentados pelas doenças osteomusculares entre os cirurgiões dentistas. O objetivo geral consistiu em verificar a prevalência de doenças osteomusculares em cirurgiões dentistas de Porto Velho – Rondônia. Assim, buscou-se através desse estudo gerar informações relativas à prevalência das doenças. O acometimento de doenças osteomusculares entre os cirurgiões dentistas começou aumentar significativamente tanto em quantidade quanto em gravidade, trazendo muitos questionamentos sobre as causas do adoecimento, que são complexas e diversificadas. Este trabalho trata de um estudo descritivo. O universo do estudo foi composto pela totalidade dos cirurgiões dentistas cadastrados no Conselho Regional de Odontologia de Rondônia, sendo um total de 383 (trezentos e oitenta e três). O grupo de cirurgiões dentistas participantes formou-se por meio de uma amostra de 25,84% (99) do município de Porto Velho. Dos 99 que responderam ao questionário 100% apresentaram queixa de dor em pelo menos uma região, mesmo que raramente. Sendo que 82% apresentaram queixa de dor com freqüência ou permanente em pelo menos uma região, 16% disseram que sentem dor em duas regiões mesmo que raramente, 84% afirmam sentir dor em 3 (três) ou mais regiões mesmo que raramente. As grandes reclamações centram-se em: 85% em dores nos punhos/ mãos/ dedos. 82% na região cervical e 82% na região lombar. Observa-se que dos 93% que afirmaram sentir dor na região lombar também sentem dor na região cervical. Tendo assim, uma relação de dor nessas regiões. Este estudo demonstrou que a prevalência de doenças osteomusculares em cirurgiões dentistas está diretamente associada à atividade exercida. ______________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT

The relevance of the research however proposal, is mainly based on the related aspect the complexity of the symptoms presented for the illnesses osteomusculares between the surgeons dentists. The general objective consists of analyzing the prevalence of illnesses osteomusculares in surgeons dentists of Porto Velho - Rondônia. Thus, an analysis of the collected data searched through this study, to generate relative information to the prevalence of the illnesses. The acometimento of illnesses ostoemusculares between the surgeons dentists started significantly in such a way to increase in amount how much in gravity, bringing many questionings on the causes of the adoecimento, that complex and are diversified. This work deals with a descriptive and retrospective study. The field research had for objective, to collect and to register, in way commanded, the data on the subject in study. The boarding was not only abided by the data, also it had the concern to present reasons or contradictions of the data of the related research of field to the facts observed in the bibliographical research. As technique of field research, the questionnaire application, a given instrument of faithful, efficient collection was used for elaboration of the research. The universe of the study was composed for the totality of the surgeons dentists registered in cadastre in the Regional Advice of Odontologia of Porto Velho - RO, being a total of 383 (three hundred and eighty and three) CDs. The group of CDs participant had been formed by means of a sample of 25,84% (99) of the totality of the CDs of the city of Porto Velho. Of the 99 that they had answered to questionnaire 100% had presented complaint of pain in at least 1 region, exactly that rare. Being that 82% had always presented complaint of pain frequently or in at least a region, 16% had said that they feel same pain in 2 regions that rare, 84% affirm to feel pain in 3 or more regions same that rare. Thus, confirming the high index of prevalence in the CDs of Porto Velho - RO. The great claims are centered in: 85% in pains in the fists hands fingers. 82% in pescoço/e cervical region and 82% in the lumbar region. It is observed that of 93% that they had affirmed to also feel pain in the lumbar region they had said that they feel pain in it I fish/cervical region. Thus having, however a relation of pain in these regions. This study it intends to demonstrate that the prevalence of illnesses osteomusculares in CDs is directly associates the exerted activity. Recommending in this way, the preventive use practical to improve the quality of life of these individuals.
