Estados Unidos e Síria : da descolonização do pós primeira guerra mundial à guerra fria

Abstract

De modo sintético, o artigo aborda a relação de Estados Unidos e Síria entre o pós Primeira Guerra Mundial e o final da década de 70, período em que se dividia o mundo entre Estados Unidos e União Soviética. De início, houve uma aproximação com os norte-americanos. Posteriormente, o relacionamento transformar-se-ia, haja vista a Síria ter-se situado na área de influência soviética. _________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT

In brief terms, the article deals with the relationship between the United States and Syria starting from the end of the First World War up to the seventies, period in which the world was divided between the United States and the Soviet Union. At the beginning, the country befriended the Americans. Later, the relationship would turn into another, because Syria has decided to situate itself in the Soviet sphere.
