Mulheres do sul também migram para o sul, paraguaias no Brasil

Abstract

O presente texto analisa a experiência vivida por mulheres migrantes paraguaias residentes no Brasil. Toma‐se como ponto de partida para a análise a perspectiva das próprias mulheres protagonistas do processo migratório. Busca‐se identificar as dificuldades enfrentadas no âmbito familiar, na vida profissional, as possibilidades de acesso a serviços, as políticas migratórias existentes e as perspectivas de retorno. Trabalha‐se com a premissa de a migração ser vista como uma alternativa para fugir a situações de pobreza e exclusão do mercado de trabalho no país de origem. A pesquisa aponta que as migrantes que se deslocam entre países da América do Sul também sofrem a problemática da segregação ocupacional. _________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT

Women from the South also migrate to the South: Paraguayan women in Brazil. This article analyzes the experience of Paraguayan migrant women settled in Brazil. The perspective of the women themselves is the starting point for the analysis. It then seeks to identify the difficulties encountered within the family environment, the professional field, the access to services, the existing migratory policies and to understand the prospects of return to their home country. It is assumed that migration can be seen as an alternative to escape situations of poverty and exclusion on the labour market in their country of origin. The research indicates that migrant women moving between countries in South America, also suffer from the problem of occupational segregation.
