Reestruturação de antigos contrastes morfossintáticos em Ka’apór

Abstract

Neste estudo, apresentamos um caso de restabelecimento de um antigo padrão morfossintático na língua Ka’apór – a distinção entre nomes de agentes e nomes de circunstância –, cuja perda fora motivada por uma mudança anterior, de natureza fonológica – a perda de consoantes labiais em final de palavras, comum às línguas que constituem o mesmo sub-ramo Tupí-Guaraní ao qual pertence o Ka’apór, o sub-ramo VIII. Discutiremos as implicações da estratégia usada pela língua ao restabelecer esse antigo contraste para a distinção entre nomes e verbos na família Tupí-Guaraní. _______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT

In this article we present a case of reestablishment of an old morphosyntactic pattern in the Ka’apór language, a distinction between names of agent and names of circumstance, whose loss had been motivated by another change of phonological nature, the loss of word final consonants shared by the languages of the same branch of the Tupí-Guaraní linguistic family to which the Ka’apór, namely branch VIII. We will discuss these implications to the distinction between names and verbs in the Tupí-Guaraní languages.
