Abstract:	This work was developed within the scope of the research line Translation and Sociodiscursive Practices of the Graduate Program in Translation Studies at the University of Brasília (POSTRAD/UnB). Its object of study is accessibility and language policies in cultural environments, aiming to analyze the adequacy of the translation of the Juscelino Kubitschek Memorial Museum in Brasília-DF with a view to promoting accessibility and analysis of language accessibility policies. The target audiences that participated in the research are members of the Deaf community, specialists in Deaf culture, translators, interpreters, teachers, students and other people interested in the area. The specific objectives of the research were: i) to investigate the legal results of the struggle of the Deaf community regarding its language, accessibility and education; ii) present how museums have adapted to these needs throughout history; iii) delimit the space to the JK Memorial Museum, verifying the current situation found in this place; iv) investigate, through interviews, how the Deaf community sees the level of accessibility of the Memorial; and finally, v) compare the results with an in loco investigation. The theoretical foundation was divided into a sociolinguistic perspective and linguistic policies, based on authors such as Oliveira (2015) and Calvet (2007). about Libras language policies; ii) questionnaire design and application; iii) verification in loco regarding the application of the translation and interpretation in Libras in the Memorial and comparison with what was verified in the interviews; iv) presentation of the proposed translation into Libras of the story of Juscelino Kubitschek, which was the selection we selected for this research. These results show that there are still gaps in the translation and interpretation in Libras of the Memorial, especially in the lack of Libras interpreters on site and in terms of the translation of the story of JK. For each objective, the results were drawn up with the implementation of the methodology, allowing a historical-legal overview of the struggles of the Deaf community to be built, presenting the path of development of accessibility in museums, from Greece to the implementation of the JK Memorial Museum, observing the specifics regarding linguistic accessibility for the latter and being able, through the interview and on-site investigation, to propose the best adaptation, especially regarding the proposed translation of JK's story into Libras. It is expected that the proposed proposal will provide the institution and the other museums with support for adapting the environments for the effectiveness of linguistic accessibility for the Deaf community.
Resumen:	Este trabalho foi desenvolvido no âmbito da linha de pesquisa Tradução e Práticas Sociodiscurssivas do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Estudos de Tradução da Universidade de Brasília (POSTRAD/UnB). Seu objeto de estudo é a acessibilidade e políticas linguísticas em ambientes culturais, visando analisar a adequação da tradução do Museu Memorial Juscelino Kubitschek de Brasília-DF com vista a promoção da acessibilidade e análise das políticas linguísticas de acessibilidade. Os públicos-alvo que participaram da pesquisa são membros da comunidade Surda, especialistas em cultura Surda, tradutores, intérpretes, docentes, discentes e demais interessados na área. Os objetivos específicos da pesquisa foram: i) investigar os resultados legais da luta da comunidade Surda quanto a sua língua, acessibilidade e educação; ii) apresentar como os museus têm se adequado a estas necessidades ao longo da história; iii) delimitar o espaço ao Museu Memorial JK, verificando a atual situação encontrada neste local; iv) investigar, através de entrevistas, como a comunidade Surda vê o nível de acessibilidade do Memorial; e por fim comparar os resultados com uma investigação in loco. A fundamentação teórica foi dividida em uma perspectiva sociolinguística e políticas linguísticas, fundamentada em autores como Oliveira (2015) e Calvet (2007) .O percurso metodológico que definiu o escopo da pesquisa, foi dividido em quatro etapas: i) revisão bibliográfica e da legislação sobre políticas linguísticas da Libras; ii) formulação de questionário e aplicação do mesmo; iii) verificação in loco quanto a aplicação da tradução e interpretação em Libras no Memorial e comparação com o verificado nas entrevistas; iv) apresentação da proposta de tradução em Libras da história do Juscelino Kubitschek, que foi o recorte que selecionamos para essa pesquisa. Os referidos resultados mostram que ainda há lacunas na tradução e interpretação em Libras do Memorial, especialmente na falta de intérpretes de Libras no local e quanto a tradução da história do JK. Para cada objetivo, traçado foram conclusos os resultados com implementação da metodologia, podendo ser construído um panorama histórico-legal das lutas da comunidade Surda, apresentando o percurso de desenvolvimento da acessibilidade em museus, desde a a Grécia até a implantação do Museu Memorial JK, observando as especificidades quanto a acessibilidade linguística para este último e podendo, através da entrevista e investigação in loco propor a melhor adequação, especialmente quanto a proposta de tradução em Libras da história de JK. Espera-se que a proposta elaborada forneça a instituição e aos demais museus, um suporte para a adequação dos ambientes para a efetivação da acessibilidade linguística para a comunidade Surda.
